Subject: Looking for info on DAVID GEISE, WILLIAM A. GUISE, LYDIA R. GEISE, GUISE Families, other spellings used by forefathers

Searching for ABRAHAM KLOCK* who married LYDIA SHAFFER**. I believe that this family had 4 children, but I am not certain. One child was CATHARINE E. KLOCK, b 1838, d 14 Jul 1901. (Catharine's name has also been spelled CATHERINE KLOCK.) A sister of CATHARINE was: AMANDA KLOCK. AMANDA KLOCK lived with a GUISE family on 1870 census (PA).

CATHARINE KLOCK married DAVID GEISE, b. some time in 1838, d. 11 Sep 1906. They had 9 children:
1. WILLIAM A. GUISE, b 10 Sep 1860, d 06 Jul 1915
(1) Agnes V. ??, mar 28 Aug 1861, b 28 Aug 1861, d 01 Aug 1887
(2) Sallie R KIEFER (KEHLER?), mar 14 Feb 1888 (Records of St Jacob's E L Church)
2. LOUISA A. GUISE, b 28 Oct 1864
3. CORA ELIZABETH GEISE, b 28 May 1866, d 22 Jun 1860, (St Jacob's E L Church)
4. SARAH JANE GEISE, b 13 May 1868, bapt 21 Feb 1869
5. LYDIA RACHEL GEISE, b 28 May 1870, d 25 Oct 1929; mar 26 May 1898 to JOHN (Johann) B. MAURER, b 21 Dec 1855; d 03 Apr 1931.
6. CATHERINE AMANDO GEISE, b 17 Feb 1873, bapt: CATHY AMANDO, 13 Apr 1874
7. GEORGE ABRAHAM GEISE, b 03 Jun 1875, bapt 23 June 1875, d 30 Mar 1887
8. BERTHA GEISE, b 16 Feb 1879, bapt 08 Feb 1880
9. EVA GEISE, b 22 Nov 1881

LYDIA R. GEISE and JOHN B. MAURER were married at the home of Lydia's parents: DAVID GIESE and CATHERINE KLOCK.
They are in the 1900 census in Pueblo, CO. Their only child, ROY S(igbert) MAURER was born 18 Nov 1904 in Pueblo. Roy S. Maurer was bapt in Great Falls, MT Jan 1906. (Has anyone ever heard the name SIGBERT?)

*I do not know the parents of ABRAHAM KLOCK.
**As far as I've ascertained, LYDIA SHAFFER's parents were: MICHAEL J. SHAFFER and ELISABETH TOBIAS.
