Beth.....can't help you on your Elizabeth Lucretia, but perhaps we can
connect on this side of the charts. I have some GARYs that I am working on
located in Louisiana and Texas:
Drozan GARY b. 1915 (birthplace unknown) m. Edna MOTT. Drozan had a sister,
Lucile.
Drozan GARY and Edna MOTT children: Louanna; Drozan; Joyce; Sam; and Louella
b. 1946 Jennings, Louisiana, m. 1967 to Roland BLANCHARD of Houma, Louisiana.
Louella GARY & Roland BLANCHARD children born in Orange, Texas area.
Might you have any info on this Drozan GARY?

Can anyone help me connect my GGGrandmother?
Elizabeth Lucretia GARY, b 11-14-1840, married Christopher Curtis TRAWEEK in
Enterprise MS 8-13-63, died Denison, Grayson Co, TX 1-29-1875. They may have
lived in Smith Co, MS for a time after their marriage, also near Ft. Smith,
AR. They had three children: Laura, Fannie, Richard, who probably were
raised by relatives in Texas after her death. This is mostly from family
oral history.
There is an Elizabeth Garey in the Clarke Co MS 1850 census, 8 yrs old,
evidently living with widowed mother and siblings, but I don't know if this
is her, or who her father was. (The marriage book from Enterprise in 1863 is
also missing--due to Yankee troubles.) She may be related somehow to a
Bluford Gary in Texas, whom her children called "Uncle Bloof." There were
also cousins with the first names ArchGary, Wyman, Cornel, and Ruby living
near Henderson, Texas in the 1920's.
Does any one have any clues?
Thank you! --Beth
