Hi again everyone, I have just recently learned that a JOSEPH GAREAU b 19-2-1822 Rigaud s/o LOUIS GAREAU m THERESE CYR could be the parents of who I believe is my 3 rd great grandfather. The date is very close to the dates I have been looking at 1823/25.
I was contacted by Jean Gareau of the Family Association and he is 99 % sure that this is the Joseph I seek.
The only problem is he can find no marriage contract for Joseph, of course this is the most crucial fact in determining the relationship.
Are there any of my subscribers out there that know of this Joseph and have anymore information on him ?
If anyone has any information on this Joseph it sure could help Jean for his files, and at least two other members and myself to find our missing Joseph Gareau.
