I'll initiate the new list but it may be a little early as most haven't
had time to subscribe yet.

Abraham GOLDEN, b. ca 1790 in Edgefield Dist, SC, moved from Monroe
County, GA to Marion County before 1850. He had a few years earlier
married Barbara PLYMALE, b. ca 1814 in Lexington Dist, SC, dau of
Michael PLYMALE and Susannah MORANO, as his second wife. Abraham and
Barbara had living with them in the 1850 Census; David age 11 b. SC,
Hiram age 6 b. GA, Susan age 4 b. GA, & Abraham age 3mos b. GA. Hiram,
Susan & Abraham appear to be Barbara's children but I can't account for
David. Hiram and David are gone in the 1860 Census. David would be 21
and could have his own family but have not located him. Hiram could
have died after 1850 but I haven't a clue. Abraham (the 2nd) married,
first, Minerva Newmans in Chattahoochee County and after her death, he
married Lettie LEE. Lettie was b. ca 1855 in Marion County, the dau of
John LEE and Sarah GREEN. John was b. in SC ca. 1811 & m. Sarah in
Stewart County ca. 1844. Sarah was b. ca 1815 in NC, the dau of Samuel
GREEN & Catherine (Lettie) Unknown. I believe most of Samuel's family
moved on to Alabama before 1860 as they do not appear in the 1860
Census. John & Sarah LEE went to Alabama for a few years and returned
to Marion County before 1860. Two sons were born in Alabama.

The GOLDEN, LEE, PLYMALE & GREEN families lived in the northern part of
Marion County, moving between Mauk, Fort Perry & Pine Knot. I wish to
locate anyone who is connected with these families to share information
with. The Golden and Lee families were in Marion County until
1900-1920. Abraham (2nd) was my grandfather. He died in Marion County
in 1924 and is buried in the Parmer Cemetery. I am particular in need
of information on the GREEN & LEE families.
