I am not sure to whom your remarks were directed.
The GALLUP line is not personally mine, but rather my son's in-laws.
The ancestor charts show that a number of their GALLUPs died in or were born in Hartland, Windsor Co., VT., and one died in Northfield, Washington Co., VT., another died in Tunbridge, VT. I see nothing to suggest they crossed over into CANADA or MI. By 1900 they were in IA. and then OR.

Your posting of this Gallup family interests me because Harriet Gallup of Melbourne, Sherbrooke Co, Quebec married John Nilson Wright (b 1836)and lived in Melbourne. They then moved to Medina Township, Lenawee Co, Michigan to be near other Gallups and Wrights. Could they be related to your query?

We are trying to find the birthplace in Vermont of John Wright's father named LUCIEN who married Jane Young in 1835 in Canada. There children besides John were: Samuel, Mary, Henry, Frederick and Harriet. Can you help? Thanks for checking your records, Janice
