Ive been searching for my husbands family. Ive
recently been able to learn that theyve lived in the
Boston, MA, area for several generations. My info is a
combination of family, cemetary, and census records.

Raymond Francis Gallagher, (my husbands grandfather)
born Jan. 31, 1903 (Cambridge, MA); married about
1928; died January 1976; buried in Forest Hills
Cemetary, Boston, MA.
Ruth Wilhemina Gronberg Gallagher, born Nov. 23, 1906
(Roxbury, MA); died Nov. 15, 1988 in Cheshire, CT;
buried with Raymond.

1920 Cambridge, Middlesex Co., MA census: (my
husbands great grandparents):
Daniel F. Gallagher, 48 years (b. c. 1872, MA); both
of his parents were also born in MA
Rose M., 49 years (b. c. 1871, MA); both of her
parents were born in Ireland
their children (all born in MA):
Alice J., 28 years (b.c.1892)
Mary, 25 years (b.c. 1895)
Anna, 23 years (b.c. 1897)
William H., 21 years (b.c. 1899)
John? H., 19 years (b.c. 1901)
Raymond F. (above), 16 years
Rose M., 14 years (b.c. 1906)
Gladys, 12 years (b.c. 1908)
Leonard J., 9 years (b.c. 1911)
Edna, 7 years (b.c. 1913)

Daniel (58) and Rose (58) also appear in Cambridges
1930 census record. Children living with them: Mary
(36 yrs), William (30 yrs), Leonard (20 yrs), Gladys
(22 yrs) and Edna (18 yrs).

1880 census record for Somerville, Middlesex Co., MA:
(my husbands great great grandparents)
Peter Gallagher, 26 years (b.c. 1854, MA); both
parents born in Ireland
Annie, wife, 27 years (b. c. 1853, MA); both parents
also born in Ireland-- Irish Free State
their children:
Daniel, (above) 8 years (b.c. 1872, MA)
Alice, 5 years (b.c. 1875, MA)
