Tom, I've been searching for a GGGrandfather who settled in Taunton in
approx.1850. Name was Patrick and wife was Ann Gilooley(sp). In 1854 they
had a 1st child named Bridget, followed by Francis in 1856,Martin in
1858,and Michael in 1860. Bristol county adjoins Plymouth and a connection
is a possibility. Francis'death certificate indicated the parents were from
Ireland, but that's not always accurate info.Francis was my GGrandfatherand
settled in Brockton. Any corroboration on these family names will be
appreciated. Lee Gallagher

> To my knowledge, my family did not live in any of the Countties you
listed, but were from Massachusetts. My Dad (Thomas P.) and his brother
(Neil P.) grew up in Norfolk County (Quincy). His parents/My Grandparents
(Neil P. and Bridget B.) settled there after they were married. They
immigrated seperately from Scotland and met here (he's from Edinburg and
She's from Greenock). My grandfather also had two brothers that immigrated
here (Patrick and Murry). Both originally settled in New England, though
I'm not exactly sure where. I grew up in Plymouth County (Norwell).
