Major Allan Burdett to Marry Miss Margaret Briscoe

A marriage of cordial interest to many Atlanta friends will be that of Miss
Margaret Briscoe, of Knoxville, Tenn., and Major Allan Burdett, U S A, which
will be quietly solemnized Saturday afternoon, April 19, at the home of the
bride's mother in Knoxville.

Miss Briscoe, who is a daughter of the late Daniel Briscoe and Mrs. Briscoe,
of Knoxville, is a beautiful young woman and very popular.

She was an admired visitor in Atlanta two seasons ago when, with Miss
Jeannette Cowan, of Knoxville, she was the guest of Miss Dorothy Arkwright.

Major Burdett, who is now detailed at Camp Lee, Va., was stationed at Fort
McPherson three years ago with the 17th infantry and has many friends here to
congratulate him.

Allan Mitchell Burdett b. 18 Sept 1886 Wilkes Co., GA son of John Cooper
Burdett and Roberta Stephens Anthony.
