The Enterprise, Feb. 13, 1885
We are pained to learn that Mr. John L. Stone, of Snapping Shoals, lost his
wife on Monday of last week, and on the Friday following his son aged 19 years,
died after a brief illness. Truly the hand of misfortune has been laid heavily
upon our friend, but there is consolation in knowing that He who called his
loved ones home has the power to heal the bleeding heart and comfort him in his
sad hour of grief and bitter bereavement.
