Mr. Parks

Theron Stokely Parks, 74 a former printer, of 290 Church Street in
Marietta died Saturday morning at Kennestone Hospital.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Albert M. Dobbins
Funeral Home in Marietta. The Rev. W.H. Ruff and the Rev. Cortez Cooper will
officiate and burial will be in Marietta City Cemetery. Gentlemen selected to
serve as pallbearers should meet at the funeral home at 2:45 p.m.
Mr. Parks was a lifelong resident of Marietta and attended Marietta public
schools. He married Miss Annie Squires in 1926 and served in the U.S. Army
during World War 1. He was a printer by trade and a former employe of the
Brumby Press and the Marietta Daily Journal. He was currently employed by the
Ruralist Press in Atlanta. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church
in Marietta, the American Legion, the Atlanta Typographical Union No. 48.
Survivors include his widow; one sister, Miss Lena May Parks of Atlanta;
two brothers, Glover Parks of Marietta and Loy Parks of Tampa, Fla.; several
nieces and nephews.
