Married on the 23d inst., by J. D. Westmoreland, Esq., Mr. Thomas Sparlow to Miss Elizabeth, daughter of Nicholas White of Georgia, but formerly of Greenville District, S.C. (Oct. 29, 1841).

Died in Burke County, Ga., on the 6th August, 1845, Mrs. Eleanor L. Patterson, aged 66 years and 3 days. .About ten days before her dissolution, conscious of her approaching end, and the probability that, from the nature of her disease [cancer of the tongue], the faculty of speech might fail her, she requested that all the members of the family, white and black, should assemble around her bed. This done, she called each by name, at the same time extending her feeble hand, and bidding them an affectionate farewell.

Died on the plains of Manassas the 21st of July, Mr. George B. Carmieal.. son of Mr. William T. Carmical, elder in the White Oak Church, Coweta Co., Ga.. belonged to the 7th Regiment, Georgia Volunteers.
