Hi Elsie,

Just a small mention:

John Holderfield
200010-10010-0

Also spelled Hollifield, Holyfield, the family was found in Wake and Rowan
Cos., NC and in Chester Dist. SC in 1790. Daniel Holifield was granted
headright land, and several marriages are recorded in Oglethorpe Co.
1799-1815. Alice Holifield and A. and William R. Holifield were enumerated
in 1820 in Jasper Co.

In "Information on Some GA Pioneers," by Jos. Maddox, compiled from
registrants of the 1805 GA Land Lottery there is also a small mention:

Daniel Holderfield, Oglethorpe Co, wife Mary.

Barbara S.
