Date: Tue, 2 Feb 2010 17:11:44 -0500

James Stallings, Author of Georgia's Confederate Soldiers Who Died As Prisoners of War 1861-1865, is in the latter stage of research for his next book regarding Confederate soldiers from Georgia who joined the United States Army and Navy in order to secure their release from Union prison camps. He is desirous of contacting anyone who had an ancestor, maternal or paternal, who decided to take this bold step. He is especially interested in diaries, letters, photos, or any other communication regarding the subject. He would like to incorporate this information in the manuscript and publish. All contributors will be acknowledged. Anyone interested in participating in recognizing their ancestor please contact James by e-mail or by phone 478-745-4516.
