I would ask if anyone has any information of a Dr Joseph Vassal (1867-1957). Born in Peylane a district of Talence (Bordeuax). He was trained at the Ecole Sante Naval (Bordeaux) and graduated 1894. He served in the Dardanelles campaign during WW1. I believe he got the Legion d'Honneur in 1916 (but for whaT?). After this I know nothing of his military role nor waht happened to him. I know though that he died in Paris (2 Ave Lamballe) of a protracted illness.

If anyone knows anything I woyulod be grateful.
