Forrest,

this email hasn't made it to the list since I added my email address
example - which is a NoNo, only plain text allowed! Was returned to me
... I had believed that they would simply filter, i.e. not show it. But
this is not so.

Ok, here we go:

I'm copying this back to the list too, there may be more people with
that same question. ("...on an ADVANCED... list?? Well, why not. The
number of things that I don't know nothin' about is increasing each
day")

I have used Irfanview http://irfanview.tuwien.ac.at/ which you possibly
know or have on your PC. But I guess most graphics programs can do this,
albeit the method may differ somewhat.

In Irfanview all I did was opening a fresh new picture (some 150x50
pixel I think). Then I used the add text function with a character set
and size of my choice, and made it show a transparent background. Guess
this didn't work well with the compression process afterwards, anyway,
there's a grainy background . I cropped the new pic closely around the
address-text and saved it as tif (and also jpg).

Regards
Tilman
