I have been tracing French roots from Cote du Nord.. now Cote d'Armor.. and
was in Dept. Archives at St. Brieuc last summer.. there are wonderful records
in place (in French, of course) since 1792 of births, deaths, marraiges..
and the LDS (Mormons) have films of most of this.. I recently ordered an LDS
microfilm from St. Carreuc where my grandparents were born.. and reviewed all
the birth and marraige records.. and remember several references to LeMee or
LeMie..
contact your nearby family history center.. a good place to start..
hopefully you have some friend who can translate the French..

Aloha from Hawaii,
