I was wondering if anyone could clear this up for me. My Grandfather's family (Weber)is from Alsace Loraine. They catagorize themselves as of French/German descent as one individual nationality. Is there such thing as this? Wouldn't it be either French OR German???

Any thoughts are welcome,
