Here's how the Norman W Hodges might fit in:
Isaac3 Hodges b 1729 New Haven CT, d aft 1800 Delaware co NY, married Mary
His youngest of six children was Phillip Hodges b 1775 Montgomery co NY; d
May 27 1825, Seneca co NY. Phillip Hodges mar Sarah Ford on Dec 18 1796,
Marcellus, NY. She was b Sept 18, 1777, Cummington, MA, d Aug 04 1846,
either NY or Mich.
Phillip and Sarah had viii children; no viii was Norman Wheaton Hodges b
July 30 1815, Van Buren, Onondaga co NY; d abt 1865, Kickapoo twp,
Leavenworth, KS. He m three times, the last to Nancy Ashmun in Oakland co
the problem with this Norman Wheaton is that he is too young to have adopted
Locena. There must be another one kicking around a little older. remember
that Isaac4 Hodges 2nd wife Anna B Cary d 1851 michigan, along with some
others, including the Hodges/Foote connection mentioned earlier mess.
You might want to contact Rick Ashmun at who did the Hodges
work. He is interested in this question; has helped me before this, and
supplied me with a complete family tree last summer.
