These are the directiions for the Candler Cem. It only makes sense that he
would be buried there since he lived there, and Heather Mansion is also very
close to there. However, in my listing of headstones in Candler Cem., you
are correct. There is not one for him. Very possible there were no kin left?
Or, before the Shores were developed (very close to there) there were 2
small private cems. there. Before building commenced on the housing, an ad
was placed in the paper for anyone to claim the bodies and remove them from
the private cems. Only a few people moved their kins bodies to another cem.
After the deadline, all the headstones in the cems. were demolished and
built over when construction began on the community. Maybe this is what he
meant when he said it may of been on developed land. The only way to know
for sure where he was buried is either through the funeral home, or in the
obit.
Also, I have a list of the previous care takers of Heather Mansion. He is
not among them. But that too is possible because Heather Mansion has changed
hands maybe 7 times over the years.
