My ISP has been down (Comcast,not AOL) or I'd have written sooner. Sorry!

I am absolutely thrilled that SANDOVAL and SOLOMON match!!! That's so cool!
A perfect 12/12 match! That means they're most likely (hah!) related...
We need more markers to determine closer relationships but we've already
proved kinship.

I really recommend going to 37 markers to see just how closely you match....
And let's work more on finding others to test / compare. I know Vonda and
Patsy have been working at this but now that we have matches, I think folks
will want to know whether (and how!) they fit...

For those who wish to test:

1) We have a $30 discount good now thru the end of the year for NEW
members. (MtDNA testers also get a discount though it's less). Anybody who joins
now should ask for the discount!

2) National Geographic is running an International Project to map DNA all
over the world to help fill in our gaps in knowledge in early human
migrations. Anyone can support the project for $99. For that you get your 12 markers
tested (same as our project), you get your Haplogroup tested, you get the CD
"The Journey of Man" (a PBS special explaining the process, & the history of
this Y-DNA stuff,) and your contribution is part of the Legacy Project which
helps support the indigenous societies in educational programs, etc...
Anyone who joins the National Geographic Project also gets to join our surname &
geographic projects (we all use the same lab) for free! SSo for the first 12
markers you get more bang for your buck from NG...

My own line is from Thomas (1798-1854), son of Joseph of NC? I'd be happy
to sponsor anyone from this line who wants to test! We need Thomas and
Henry's line. For anyone else, please take advantage of the discounts available
thru the first of the year!

To Vonda and Patsy--woo hoo!!! I'm thrilled and I'm jealous! Keep adding
markers & we'll see just how close the match is! Need my line , Gareth,
Jacob, who else???

Again, totally excited that you folks match! How can we find the paper
trail?
