Judy-
Yup - looks like you made it to the list. (I don't recall seeing much
action on the list, though, since I joined a couple of months ago...)
Now you have me salivating about John the immigrant.
I come from
John, the immigrant (don't know much beyond what was in the Filson Club
Quarterly some many years ago),
Davison, his son
Robert, his son
Isaac Filson (1794-1879) - second last child of Robert's second wife, name
unknown to me
Isaac married Sarah STATLER (1802-1882) in Bedford/Somerset County, Pa
Their daughter, Emmaline Statler FILSON (1830-1917), married Enos WERTZ
(1831-1905), and they were my great-great-grandparents.
How far down the chain do "we" match?
- Jeff R
P.S. Been trying, for no strong reason, to connect a couple of "newer"
Filsons (from the late 1800's) to my other generations. They were also from
Bedford County, Pa. The father's name was
SPEAR Filson
and two of the daughters (maybe the only two children) were named
LEAFY Filson, and
FERNY Filson
No, I am not kidding!
