After 20+ years of gathering data, I've moved from handwritten to word
processor to Brothers Keeper (DOS) and then to the various versions of
Family Tree Maker. Actually, I love most of the FTM features - I've just
outgrown its source/citation capabilities. The Master Genealogist has
wonderful capabilities in this area, however, even their windows version is
still basically DOS oriented. The recent swirl of controversy concerning
continued support for FoxPro heavily weighted the decision in favor of
Family Origins.
