I just found a bit on info on your Rev. E. M. Faller; you may already have it:
FORT WAYNE. [Allen County] CATHEDRAL OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION. 1837.
… "The first priest permanently appointed pastor of Fort Wayne was ... The fifth was Rev. Edward Faller, who is now in the diocese of Vincennes. In 1849 the German portion of St. Augustine's congregation built a church and school-house, forming the first German speaking congregation in Fort Wayne, St. Mary's, of which Father Faller was made the first pastor." --(Father Benoit in History of Allen County.)
There's some activity going on today in the Faller board that is probably your family. Lynne Grant Faller has some interesting info and I think this is most probably your family as well. She is looking for siblings of Bernard Faller, m. Elizabeth Theriac, who immigrated to Vincennes, IN from Alsace Lorraine; was born there in 1822 with siblings. My husband's g-grandfather, from PA, is probably also related to this group, which is my interest.
