Hi Hilary, thanks for writing.

I do not fully follow you.

Are you saying:
a. Type a message to be sent
b. use ctrl-a to "select all
c. use ctrl-space to "remove any formatting
d. press "send"

and it then leaves minus any non-text embelihments?

When I do try to send "text only" I never have any bold etc at
all. Just typing of the message.
