I have the manuscripts pertaining to THOMAS & ELIZABETH (BOWEN) ESSEX family of MD>VA>IL in which there is no mention that Elizabeth's maiden name was BROWN nor did she m. after Thomas d. Both died in 1853, Stark Co, IL. Only place I ever found the mention of Brown w/Eleanor was in a LDS file. JOSEPH of Ross Co, OH & THOMAS were cousins.
