I am sorry to correct you, but this is not true, all the census schedules
were filled in by the head of the household (where literate). The 1911
census is the first one where we see the actual schedule and are able to see our
ancestors own handwriting. All the earlier census images we see arefrom
the enumerators books which are transcriptions of the original schedule, with
the added risks of errors to creep in, therefore there are fewer chances
of error in the 1911 images.
