Jennifer,

When you search, you can choose to search Everything or Images. Images
brings up only digitised documents. You can then see them, if you have the
right software.
If you search for Everything, some hits come up with a symbol next to the
date, on the right, and the symbol (which looks like pictures in frames)
means it has been scanned, and you can see the images. Everything else is
just an entry in the catalogue.

The results are the same wherever in the world you are, as far as I know.
