I have been totally unsuccessful in finding his parents, and his birth
certificate, and also his marriage certificate..



Until 1875 when it became the responsibility of the parents to register a
birth, it was not unusual for a birth to go unregistered.

According to the 1911 census he and Elizabeth had been married for 32
years, this puts the marriage around 1878/9.
