Just looked on Google and there is an Arkesden near Saffron Walden, Essex.
Maybe some of the registers are shown on the ERO / SEAX site.

Frederick Walter Wilson (my great grandfather) was born in Arkesden, Essex
on Apr 1, 1854.

The birthplace comes from the 1891 census, and the date comes from a family
bible.

I have been totally unsuccessful in finding his parents, and his birth
certificate, and also his marriage certificate..

If anyone has information that can help me, I would very much appreciate it.
