Refer to Whalley Coucher - over one thousand pages of records mostly in latin. Buckley mentioned possibly one to two one hundred times. A number of Buckleys were Deans of Whalley 1150-1200.

Regarding the Woore/O'dell Buckleys there is very little evidence of value of their connection with the Cheshire Bulkleys. There are a few records of a Peter Bulkley 1350-1450 who appears to have been involved in criminal activities - little else. Possibly evidence exists but I have never been aware of it.

You mention that your subject has little to do with Essex. I disagree - people travelled a lot in the past. And in fact the Odell Bulkley John returned from the America and lived in Essex.
