Abbots Roothing is the old/original/former name of Abbess Roding - 12
miles NW of Chelmsford, towards Harlow

Withem I suspect is Witham - 10 miles NE up the A12 from Chelmsford

I would start by looking at the Essex Record Office website for the
parish records of both localities
