Hello David

Firstly, can I echo the many other listers in thanking you for what you
have done already - this may be the Essex list (and my wife has Essex
ancestry) but my family are Londoners!

If you were to scan an Essex map I'd suggest the Chapman and Andre one -
but what might be worth considering is a book entitled 'The Village
London Atlas' that was published by the Alderman Press in 1986 (or
better still the maps on which it was based) showing the build up of the
London suburbs.
