I must say, the search engine seems extremely fast and responsive, and
the database looks very promising indeed! The pages aren't very
dial-up-friendly though - shame.

I volunteer at my local LDS FHC and seeing mention of Walthamstow I
want to tell you that the LDS Familyseach.org group have recently
launched a pilot program where in time you will be able to read
thousands, if not millions of original documents. Programs/docs being
added daily. However, it is a pilot program!

I was poking around there today and there is quite a bit on bmd on
Walthanmstow (they mucked up the transcription of Leyton & Leytonstone -
but that's OK). Not much on Essex in general but worth taking a look
just to see what fabulous work is being accomplished by the LDS.
