There is a book that was published a few years back which lists every known
clayworks and brickworks in Essex from Roman times. It is called 'Brick in
Essex: The Clayworking Craftsmen and Gazetteer of Clayworking Sites' and it is
by Pat Ryan (ISBN: 0952903911 ) It is currently available on Amazon.co.uk for
GBP15.00
