Good morning,
I am a new subscriber and wonder if anyone can help me solve a puzzle for me.
I have Frederick Dear as head of household on the 1891 census living with his wife Eliza Ann and their children, but in 1901 he is living as a widower with Harriet GUNN (widow) and a set of children all with the surname HALLINGTON, the eldest of which is James at age 18 and the youngest Frederick at 9 months. All the Hallington children are shown as son or daughter of the head of household, and there are no children with the surname Dear. Can anyone explain why?!
I cannot find James Hallington's birth or his family on the 1891 census - so where did they come from?
And can anyone find me Eliza Ann Dear's death details please?
As I explained I am a new subscriber so any help is very gratefully received.
Kind regards
Susan
