Hi to all,
I am in South Africa and my ancestor Joshua Prior came from England in 1835.
His father was also named Joshua - surname spelt either Pryor/Pryer/Prior and his mother was Susannah Nottage.

What I would like to know is, are there any records of births, deaths and christenings before 1800?

I am searching for Joshua snr's parents and more information on them please. Joshua lived in the Navestock county and I dont think people moved around a lot in those days!

Any tips to do a search will be appreciated.
