I am an American descendant of John Porter who was born in Essex and left for America in the early to mid 1630s. He settled in Windsor Connecticut and died there in 1648.

I have seen a lot of material on John Porter's English ancestry but much of it is conflicting and therefore confusing. Is anyone on the list researching the PORTER family of Essex?
