I must apologise for my last email. Pam has written to ask me what on earth
was I thinking!!!!( William whom I should have named Walter would only have
been 12 yrs old if bn 1744!) So sorry for such silly errors.Have a very bad
cough & cold so a bit fuzzy tonight.

I will re-write my last letter:
I have just discovered that my 5x gt grandfather Walter BEVAN ( year of
birth unknown) was more than likely married to Sarah LADYSMITH. I have found
a note of Banns published in Gt Clacton in Feb /March 1756. Although the
marriage itself was not noted, it is possible that it did take place
somewhere else?
I did find his son William in Colchester in 1841 so perhaps there is a
connection to that city?
If anyone has LADYSMITH links please drop me a line.
