A search of the LDS Family History Library Catalogue shows that they have
the Bishops transcripts for the the PRs of Briantree parish church
1800-1864
and the Births, Bapts. Deaths and Burials 1813-1837 for the Independant
Church Braintree. Go to the Familysearch site, look along the top of the
page for the link Family History LIbrary Catalogue, click there and then
select Place search and type in Braintree, part of Essex, then form the
results select Church Records, not Church Record Indexes. Then you should
see the links for the above BT etc., clicking on either of those links
will
take you forward t where you will find a page where in the top right corner
is another link View Film Notes, that will show you the relevant film
numbers needed by which to order the film/s in at your nearest LDS centre
for a small fee.

To find the address of your nearest LDS centre go to the home page of the
familysearch site and you will see here how to search for your nearest LDS
centre.

The IGI is only an index and as such does not always give the full details
form the parish register, only a transcript of the PRs or BTs would do
that,
and index and a transcript being two different things. Whatever you find on
the IGI should always therefore be checked against the original source of
that item, the LDS could have made errors in making the index and such
errors could send you off on the wrong track, so do check the sources for
yourself.

Not everything that the LDS has on film appears in the IGI, if you are
looking for baptisms or marriages and can't find what you are looking for
on
the IGI then always make a place search of the FHL catalogue for the place
name of interest to you and see if they have anything actually on film for
that place. YOu will be surprised as just what could be available. The
LDS
have milllions and millions of films made around the world of all sorts of
items and almost all are avialable to hire at local LDS centres.

The children do not appear on the LDS IGI and I am wondering if there are
any Braintree baptismal parish records that do not appear on the IGI. Can
anyone help with this please?
