Researching the KEMP Family in Ridgewell,Essex.

Ridgewell, Essex, baptism's.Chr 23 Oct 1825

Alfred KEMP base born son of Mary Kemp. (Actually born earlier on 15 Nov
1823).

In the 1841 - 71 censuses he called himself "Alfred Kemp BIRD".

On his 1867 marriage entry he is still "Alfred Kemp BIRD" and puts his
father as "George Bird, Farmer".

Alfred and his wife then rename their family KEMP from BIRD about 1872 and
their last three children are registered as KEMP.

Looking to find Mary Kemp's parents. Her birth year estimated 1795-1805.

George Kemp's family & ancestry. His year of birth estimated 1780-95.

Seems that George was a married man in 1823, because he has a son George
Bird jnr born 1820 in Ridgewell still alive in the 1841 census.

Ridgewell & surrounding parishes not on the IGI or BVR2.
