There is a Brook Street in Brentwood (running from M25 to Brentwood now).
Perhaps that is it?

Hello,

I know there are some villages in England which include the word "street" in

their names (such as Bodle Street in Sussex), but I haven't heard of a
village called Brook Street. Perhaps there is the name of a town or village

missing. I know several towns in Essex have a road called "Brook Street",
including Colchester and Chelmsford.

Don't be too surprised at Charles being a "son in law" at 14 - in those
days, "son in law" could mean "step son", which would seem to fit here, as
his surname is not KEABLE.

Regards,

David Lamb
