Hi Keith,

I did some more research on your behalf and here are the results.

I looked up Emmas birth at Akesdon then I could ascertain her surname with
more certainity. I am now happy that it is GAPES.

I also noted other GAPES in the family since I was on that fiche for Akesdon

info as follows

Emma GAPES dau of Richard and Charlotte bap June 14th 1828 Arkesdon.Fiche
D/P 317/1/4

others GAPES in the area

1827 Lydia dau of same parents 25.3.

1831 Martha Oct 30 and the following all same parents
Hannah Oct 5th 1834
Mary Ann 1839, sorry I didn't note full date
William Dec 20th 1846

Emma Nov 5th 1848


I founbd no more on register on fiche coveriong period 1813 -1875
MONKS

Dec 24th 1853 Parish church of Langley Peter Monk 21 yrs Emma Gapes .
