Some of the children on this "official" postcard by Louis SLAUGHTER of High Street, Wivenhoe, look suspiciously like the offspring of Edward and Edith [TOSBELL] JONES of "Bryngwyn".

Probable date is - er - the schoolgirls [possible ages 10-13] are wearing thick black stockings and boots and have knee-length skirts. the tallest is wearing a pale panama-style school [?] hat.

No motor vehicles but a distant cyclist, just too distant to examine his steed, heads towards us.

Can Colleen help us with Louis SLAUGHTER's professional time-span, perhaps?
