Hi Dave,

Thank you for your email. I appreciate your thoughts
because I hadn't considered that Beatrice might be
with relatives. As Beatrice isn't on the 1891 with her
family nor is she anywhere on the 1901, I have to
investigate your suggestion further.

Beatrice (unmarried) died 29.6.1967 aged 68 at St.
Bartholomew's Hospital, Smithfield. So she must have
had a life somewhere. I don't think she could have
been at St Bart's hospital for all of her 68 years
because she was intelligent enough to be the informant
for her father's death in 1952 and her name is record
on his certificate.

When I get a reply from the GRO re the Southend query
that may give me a location or idea where to start
looking for Beatrice and whoever took her in.
