Hi Listers, I have a newspaper article about the death of my uncle, it said
he was a Ford employee a Aveley-Is this a place name or the Ford company
name, and was on his way home to 14 Digby road-I can't find this road on the
maps , and that he collided with a car in Worwick-Lane Rainham- are these
roads still there? Any info please. Also that he had been playing in an
inter-departmental football team and that his team had reached the final for
the trophy. Does any lister know of these teams? Previously he worked as
office boy at the "Barking Advertiser"- Does this paper still exist? He did
the football reports and was well known to Ford united footballers and
supporters. He was a former Ripple and eastbury School boxer and had
interests in the Monteagle Amateur Boxing Club-and was engaged to the
President's Daughter Miss Joan List. Unfortunately I only have a small news
paper clipping and it dose'nt show the name of the paper that wrote it-How
can I research this further? A lot of questions I know but the list seems
to have a lot of local info off the top of their heads so any help very much
appreciated. Thankyou to those who took time to read through this lot
