Hi Sandra.

If your ancestor was in Essex, try searching just on their name, or just
the surname if it is a rare one, in Essex Record Office's SEAX online
catalogue - they have been busily putting abstracts including personal
names into the document descriptions in their catalogue, and (with luck)
you might be surprised at what you'll turn up!
