Hello List

Is anybody else researching the families of Pettican or Southernwood in
Essex? They were from several villages, but Boxted, Little Horkesley and Fordham
were amongst the main ones.

I am also interested in Mary Beardwell who married Samuel Pettican at Boxted
in 1811. She was my 3xgt grandmother, and I can find absolutely nothing
about her. Since Samuel was quite elderly when he married her, perhaps she was a
widow, although she did have 2 children by him. Any help would be
appreciated.
