I am researching the family PURPLE, Essex 1630- 1670 when Edward Purple emigrated to Haddam, CT in 1674. His supposed father, Christopher Purple IV married a "Lucas"? I have no record of children. Christopher IV also had a sister Mary according to his grandfather's will. They were originally from Essex but may have gone to London or Norfolk. Christopher IV attended Emmanuel College, Cambridge in 1646. Any info will help to research Edward's emigration to the colonies to join several cousins mentioned in wills.Barbara Purple LaViers
