Hi all:

Some years ago, someone on another list sent me details of a burial from
the old edition of the NBI. At that time no mention was made of any
contractual terms about lookups or otherwise. I did not request that
the information be looked up in the NBI, bit it was sent to me as a
lookup by the person concerned, whose help I appreciate.

Since then, another lister on a totally different list has sent me
information from the actual burial registers of the place concerned on
the various family members buried there. Of course the single burial
entry sent me previously was correct. but guess what? My source for
this burial will be updated to reflect the lookup from this lister
rather than the NBI. In any case, as far as I'm aware, the NBI, even
the new edition, is nothing like complete, so it would be hit or miss to
even consider purchasing it, for me. So with the elimination of this
single entry, my genealogy database will include no reference to the
NBI. I will not be asking for lookups from this index either.

I hope the person who posted this ugly message is suitably chastised for
his offensive behavior by the list owner.
