Subject: ANN LADD - housemaid at Knights (1841-1871)

I am a descendant of ISAAC BAKER BROWN and his wife,
CATHERINE (BOYER) BROWN. this family had lived at
Knights in Colne Engaine for many years prior to the
sale of the property to the COURTAULDS in 1878. In
searching the census records for the last years of
BROWNS being in residence at Knights (1841-1871)I
noticed that one individual had been in residence at
all four censuses. A Miss ANN LADD had been a
housemaid in the household at each census. She seems
to have devoted a lifetime of service to this family.
I am writing a family history of by grandparents PERCY
and JEANIE BROWN. PERCY is a grandson of ISAAC. Now
that I have discovered this loyal servant I would like
to make some recognition of her. At the moment I can
do it by name and dates only. I cannot find any other
information on her in any of the standard on line
sources. Can anyone help me by providing a some
information.
Any help would be most welcome.
Gordon Taylor.
